Neukgu (๋๊ตฌ) is a Korean gray wolf (Canis lupus) who became a national sensation after escaping his enclosure at O-World Zoo in Daejeon, South Korea, and roaming freely for 10 days in May 2025.
His brave journey made him a symbol of freedom, strength, and the wild spirit. People across the nation followed his every move, sharing updates, stories, and admiration for this magnificent creature.
After 10 days of living on his own in the surrounding forests and mountains, Neukgu was safely returned to O-World Zoo, where he now resides in a specially upgraded, spacious enclosure designed to mimic his natural habitat.
